Terra World is responsible for shaping my high school years. It kept me from being bored. I always looked forward to some Saturday CTF, as the game was normally the highest populated on Saturday mornings with constant CTF games going on, and I loved that, players loved that, so they came.

To me, the true sense of nostalgia is something that you just can't shake off, you can't get rid of, no matter how old you get as opposed to how young you were. I'm going on 30 years old soon, and I played Terra back when i was 17 years old.

Almost 13 years later, when I log on, I see those 40 players online. I see those stacked CTF teams, people logging off and re-joining CTF when they don't get the team they want. I see the legendary PK'ers racking up their kills 2 left of Reet spawn. I see those global mutes in which everyone associated with "Ravey time", lol, you know what I'm talking about. I see the top players bragging about how they have 10 million bounty over their head and nobody will ever kill them to collect it. I could go on and on with this.

I am aware that a majority of players have moved on. But I am willing to bet that nobody that used to regularly play Terra, that the memories of the game will never leave their minds. This is why you will see many of the players log onto to the game from time to time for that very reason. It is an instant sense of nostalgia, an instant sense of their past.

So with all this, I just want to shout out to all the players that formed the awesome community that is Terra World. I won't discriminate. Even if you are in your 30s, 40s, or even 50s now, I'm talking to you. Together, we all made the game what it used to be. Different personalities would clash at times, sure, but that diversity is what gave Terra it's balance.

Don't hesitate to comment on this post to let everyone know you are still out there. Because I know I am.

Well said man. Terra will

Well said man. Terra will always be a symbol of my youth and brings me back to the simpler times... Although we miss the old days, and the game is in a bad shape now, that will not stop me from returning to get a small glimpse of a great time in my past. It feels good to share the memories we have, it goes to show what a great community Terra World truly had/has. The connections and friendships with people I have made through Terra far surpass that of any other online gaming. I am 22 years , and I can still enjoy logging on to this day for that very reason.

Yessir. Everything you said,

Yessir. Everything you said, that's what I feel. I know the game is dead now, but I log on from time to time. Even if I'm the only one on, I kill a few dwarves and fall back into the days when I would do that waiting for players to come and fight me. I know I've been a jackass to a lot of people on here during those times, and for that, I do apologize to all. I only say that because of how the community on here helped keep me away from everything bad going on in the area around me. Living in a place infested with drugs, thieves, and everything in between, this community and the time I spent playing the game is really what kept me away from that nasty outside world. You all were the shit, are the shit, and will forever be the shit (in a good way Tongue)

I started playing when I was

I started playing when I was in 7th grade, we had dial up internet and I was allowed to be on for 20 minutes periods...that never happened. I made a lot of friends and remember being a jerk to a lot of people. It was a time to find out who I was without consequences. I apologise and thank those who were present while I played the game. I will never forget terra world and the people who played Smile
