As you may have seen there has now been an increase in admin activity on Terra again, there has been lit; a new and powerful flame within us on Terra.

Terra will hit its official 10th birthday next April and we feel the want to get Terra back in its hay day way in time for that amazing milestone.

We have reformed the team and we are composed of passionate and skilled admins that will strive to get the job done.
A number of things will start changing and happening around terra and we will also be including the players to help us create a game that can be enjoyed by all.

One of these changes is the complete "cleaning of slate" for all players that had previously been char and IP banned. IP bans have been lifted across the board and charunbans await those who ask us for them.

The current admin team is comprised of:

Dooc - Team Admin
Armageddon - Team Admin
Ceebs - Team Admin
Jeremy - Team Admin

Becky - Support Admin
Aten - Support Admin
Nina - Support Admin

All admins have the needed permissions to help in most situations and problems, the only thing left to the Team admins will be the Charunbans.

Oh and look out for the possible return of a former admin from yesteryear.

Many thanks and love from "The Terra Rebirth Team"
<3

PS: Any comments, suggestions etc are allowed and wanted Laughing out loud

As a former admin for Terra

As a former admin for Terra myself, I would like to see a few things that I tried to advocate for while I was admin.

  • Try listening to the players more

  • Get involved with your playerbase more

  • Make sure that maps match up...this drove me nuts before, during, and after the time I was admin. If the DWM (Dynamic World Map) does not still work, try convincing Tom to fix it, or just walk across all your maps at all edges to make sure you don't get stuck when changing...makes the game look a hell of a lot better if the maps match up.

  • Try to stay on the same page as an admin team. If one of you is working on a project, I think it should be shared with the whole admin team on the admin forums. You don't have to necessarily reveal all details to them, but just give them an idea of what you have in mind, if you plan on releasing any new items, etc.

  • If a player wants their house/guild hall mapped, don't avoid them. (I did this toward the end of my term as admin, but I wasn't in the best frame of mind at the time as some of you may remember...)

  • If you set a timeframe for something and announce it to the public, try to stick to it!

  • Keep the players as up-to-date as possible without spoiling surprises

  • When making quests, don't make them all sloppy-like...test, test, and TEST as much as possible. If I remember correctly, didn't Tom refactor Project Mappers so that they could test quests?

  • Try to see if Tom would be willing to update the client if someone compiles stuff for him...I was doing a lot of the tile compilations for most of my time as admin, and it usually resulted in an update.

  • Try to release some of the many unreleased items...I dunno how many are left now, but when I was let go/went rogue, there were quite a few...of which I think I still have a list...

  • Try holding some competitions and whatnot every once in a while once the playerbase gets built back up a bit. I know when I was holding the "Event Extravaganzas", the players really seemed to enjoy them, and more people would come on during those days.

I know most of these things are aimed to improve the team, but in improving the team, I feel that you guys can help bring Terra to its former glory.

Feel free to contact me if you wish. I know I've been an ass to a lot of you in the past year or so, but I'm willing to help the team, even if I'm not a part of it anymore.

No offense techno but there

No offense techno but there are admins that spend a little too much time with the player base. You won't be able to log in to terraworld 3 times in a day granted that you have 2 hour gaps without jeremy being on. He's an active admin who seems to deal with the support side of things moreso then what i've seen of support admins.

I do agree with the event's though and keeping the people updated with what's going on, But I spose we need a playerbase of more than 5 people to host events without the same people winning all the time.

Also think what's said on the forums should be followed in game >.>

Haha, I am on A LOT, but I also leave the game on when I'm sleeping, and doing other things. Tongue

Y'all should put an MP healer in. I'd sell my soul for one of those right about now.

New Players

Been playing a few days and am realizing that this game is in some type of transition and that makes it extremely difficult for the new players. Some quest aren't possible and you might now realize it until after you've wondered for hours trying to accomplish it. To make this rebirth happen you need new players to feel the need to keep with it. So maybe some guidelines of quest and areas that are attainable or anything along those lines to keep people from wasting multiple hours. That will make people give up hope on the game.
