Based on the feedback everyone has given me I've altered my plans for the guild refactoring.

The new plans are as follows:

1. Guild members will automatically be moved to an inactive state after 2 or 3 weeks. When they are moved they stay in the guild but their score won't be taken into account in the total guild score. On the website they will show up as inactive members in a separate list.

Banned and locked players will automatically be removed from the guild overview on the website (including score) But they won't be kicked from the guild automatically.

2. The maximum amount of guild members will stay the same as it is at the moment. 99 members per guild. This is still subject to change because I want to make it appealing for players to create their own guild instead of joining the biggest.

3. The guild scores will automatically be updated on the website each hour.

Any ideas on how I can give smaller guilds more of an equal chance during guild events? And how we can make it more attractive to join a smaller guild?

During the GvG event, the guild with less score should get abit more money per kill. Also add a PK ladder for guilds.

Ive got an idea. Maybe instead of counting the total score for a score list, you can also count the average score of the guild members. So when theres 2 guilds, one guild with 50 people of 2000 score, the average score is 2000. But the second guild has only 2 members and an average score of 3000. The second guild would be higher on the score list.

Second idea: Only count the top 10 guild members for the score. So when theres a guild of 50 people, only the best 10 count for score.

Tom I wouldnt worry about it, the fact that you are linking the guild systems to mini games will also mean that not only the ammount of players will have an impact, but also their individual capabilities, so larger guilds wont mean larger scores when death in these minigames resolves to negative points for the guild, making smaller guilds is easier to control on the scoring part, so again, pro and contras into making a small or a big guild, exactly what you would want here no?

anyway i fully support the idea now with the people not being kicked

I like the first idea the best. But the problem will be people with like 5 members who have high score will be in first place.

And as for the guild events. Why not just place a limit on the amount of guild members able to join from a certain guild?

For guild wars maybe only like 8-15 can be used from one guild at a time (Don't see that many on anyway =/)
Giving other guilds a chance if that be there max amount of guild member s:P lol
